CWI is seeking compassionate and reliable Bus Drivers to provide safe, respectful transportation for individuals with disabilities. This role is about more than driving — it’s about helping people access their day, their community, and their independence.
As a Bus Driver at CWI, you’ll be one of the first and last people individuals see each day. Your kindness, consistency, and care help set the tone for meaningful experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate agency vehicles in compliance with NYS traffic laws
- Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and exiting as needed
- Create a welcoming, calm, and respectful environment
- Communicate with staff to support continuity between transportation and programs
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical concerns
- Support inclusion, dignity, and positive daily experiences
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class C (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (P) or Class B with Passenger Endorsement
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years accident- and violation-free)
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
