Position Overview
The Shannon McCarthy Team based in Saratoga Springs NY is seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Video Producer & Editor to lead the development of compelling visual content that elevates our brand and connects with clients across the Capital Region.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a visual storyteller who can manage the full video production lifecycle, from concept to final delivery, while helping shape and scale our video marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is both creative and organized, with a strong understanding of social media trends, digital storytelling, and brand-driven content.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing- Plan, shoot, edit, and produce high-quality short- and long-form video content for social media, web, email, and marketing campaigns
- Create engaging content including property tours, agent branding videos, client testimonials, lifestyle content, and promotional campaigns
- Edit video using motion graphics, animation, sound design, color correction, and branding elements
- Optimize content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook (vertical & horizontal formats)
Creative Development- Collaborate with leadership to develop content strategies, scripts, and storyboards
- Identify opportunities to showcase listings, team culture, client success stories, and local communities
- Contribute creative ideas that align with business goals and drive engagement and lead generation
Project & Production Management- Manage all aspects of production including scheduling, logistics, equipment, and on-site shoots
- Coordinate with agents, clients, vendors, and any freelance creatives as needed
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
- Help establish and improve video workflows, templates, and production systems
Brand & Content Strategy- Ensure all content aligns with the Shannon McCarthy Team’s brand identity and messaging
- Stay current on social media trends, video formats, and platform algorithms
- Analyze video performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement
Asset Management- Organize and maintain a centralized library of video and photography assets
- Ensure proper tagging, storage, and accessibility of all media files
Qualifications
Required- 2–5+ years of experience in video production, editing, or digital content creation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools
- Strong understanding of video editing, motion graphics, and basic audio production
- Experience shooting video with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and storytelling skills
Preferred- Experience in real estate, marketing, or social media content creation
- Photography and lighting experience
- Familiarity with analytics tools and performance tracking
- Experience with drone video, reels/trending content, and YouTube production
- Knowledge of emerging tools, including AI-assisted video editing
