Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex
heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
This role focuses on
project coordination, scheduling, document control, and estimating support--ideal for candidates looking to grow into a
Project Manager or
Construction Estimator.
Note: This is not a design engineering position.

Your Role as a Project Engineer
As a Project Engineer, you will support both field and office operations to help ensure projects are planned, executed, and delivered successfully.
Project & Field Coordination
- Support Project Managers with daily project execution and coordination
- Assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite communication
- Attend project meetings and track milestones, progress, and action items
Estimating & Preconstruction Support
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and scope reviews
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and proposals
- Support estimating efforts during bid and preconstruction phases
Document Control & Project Administration
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders
- Maintain organized project files and ensure timely communication across stakeholders
Communication & Reporting
- Act as a key liaison between project teams, field staff, subcontractors, and clients
- Support accurate reporting to keep projects on schedule and aligned with goals
Safety & Compliance
- Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Support and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities

Education & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred)
- OR
- 1-3 years of experience in construction as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager
