Title: Associate Scheduler

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
About:
The Office of Governor Kathy Hochul is seeking an experienced Scheduler to join a fast-paced
and a dynamic team with the NYS Executive Chamber. As a member of the Executive Operations
team consisting of scheduling, briefing, and advance operations. Schedulers play a key role in
managing and participating in activities in relation to the Governor’s schedule, and will work
closely with internal colleagues to ensure excellent execution of events.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare the final schedule document for the Governor and staff.
- Assist the Assistant Secretary for Executive Operations and the Deputy Director of Scheduling in organizing and scheduling travel, appointments, special events, meetings, and all other internal and external activities for the Governor as authorized.
- Respond to a large volume of incoming meeting and scheduling requests in a timely fashion.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal staff about the Governor’s schedule and movements.
- Communicate key information and scheduling changes to the Assistant Secretary for Executive Operations and Deputy Director of Scheduling, staff, and affected stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and demonstrate ethical judgment in conducting business on behalf of the Office of the Governor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and at least 2 years of full-time, relevant work experience. Additional relevant work experience may substitute for education.
- Understanding of New York State government and experience working in government or political campaigns is preferred

- Possession of sophisticated and sound judgement.
- Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work well with teams.
