Summary Of Role
The Director of Manufacturing Operations for Fab 8 will lead the organization and be directly responsible for key operations metrics at our state-of-the-art 300mm factory in Malta, New York. The candidate will report directly to the general manager of the site and focus on both day-to-day tactical priorities in addition to strategic structural improvements. Demonstrating strong leadership skills, the candidate will foster continuous improvement and growth within their organization and collaborate both across teams at the Malta site and the worldwide GF enterprise. The candidate must have the ability to set clear priorities in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. The scope of the role will include clear and concise communication to all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the organization and take ownership of the execution to deliver on operational and technology development metrics such as moves, cycle time, on time delivery, fab outs, and first-time new product success
- Proactively identify risks to meeting manufacturing metrics and collaborate across stakeholders and organizations to mitigate risks and deliver results
- Maintain and continuously drive improvements in quality to exceed customer expectations
- Drive productivity and efficiency through use of digital manufacturing
- Partner with module engineering, technology development, process integration and yield, product line and supply chain organizations to align customer commitments and deliver to site technology roadmap
- Provide strategic leadership over programs, processes and activities to ensure minimal downtime for the facility and lowest cost solutions for maintaining a world class operation
- Lead a team across 24/7 factory coverage and support leaders, engineers, and technicians in growing their careers through performance management and career development plans
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications
- BS in engineering or related discipline
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Skilled in complex problem-solving and results-driven
- Ability to build and manage strategic relationships with stakeholders
- Proven leadership to motivate teams to excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of factory automation and digitization
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
Expected Salary Range
$146,000.00 - $267,000.00
