Multifamily is in need of a Project Manager to maintain a pipeline of applications, coordinate kick off calls, and set up the contracts in NEIS, providing support to the PM's for management of these projects. Additionally, this resource will manage all the pilot projects planned for 2025 initiatives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree, particularly in engineering, policy, public or business administration, architecture, real estate, urban planning, marketing or related field.
- 3-6 years Has well developed understanding of relevant technical principles and their application to a program area. Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues.
- 3-6 years Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area.
- 3-6 years Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of on-going projects with no supervision. Is able to prioritize workload with other responsibilities. Effectively discharges general technical and project management assignments in a timely manner. Demonstrates strategic thinking connected to the organization’s goals.
- 3-6 years Has demonstrated ability to effectively head working groups or program teams. Provides guidance to junior staff when appropriate and can supervise the day-to-day work of interns. Has full confidence of peers and superiors. People skills have developed to show leadership and an ability to motivate others.
- 3-6 years Has demonstrated ability to produce both written material and verbal presentations that are direct, recognize and focus on issues, are both comprehensive and concise and require editing only in most sensitive and complex areas. Is able to negotiate effectively with contractors and interface effectively with customers and other outside contacts. Has demonstrated ability to prepare and present papers at professional meetings, seminars and conferences.
- Solid project management skills for energy efficiency projects involving multiple building systems.
- Knowledge of energy consuming systems commonly found in multifamily buildings, including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technologies, and building envelope.
- Knowledge of electrification measures for existing multifamily buildings, specifically for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning, domestic hot water, appliances, ventilation, and building envelope measures.
- Must be an experienced Microsoft Excel user, familiar with formulas, and data analysis.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Software and tools used in the Multifamily Performance Program & Low Carbon Pathways: Program specific Excel tools used for the management, such as the SnapShot tool, SAV-IT tool, and Workscope Tools; NEIS financial and contract management platform; SharePoint, and Jot Form.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Managers with daily operation of multifamily program(s).
- Assist with Pipeline Management of multifamily building projects including, but not limited to:
- Field program inquiry calls,
- Process project applications,
- Organize and conduct telephone scoping sessions where project requirements and roles are covered,
- Review project submittals,
- Create and manage contracts and suppliers in NEIS,
- Manage general program email inbox.
- Continuous improvement of processes for existing program(s).
- Managing projects for a small Pilot (~12 projects) being launched within the LCP program.
- Resolve issues which may arise regarding projects with applicants or consultants.
- Input and Manage Program Databases (Including CRIS).
- Work with other Staff Augmentation personnel to ensure that projects are completed successfully and in compliance with program rules and policies.
- Coordinate with our QA/QC and Technical Review contractors.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
