This position is ideal for individuals who have availability on specific days of the week and are willing to be contacted to cover a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PATH at Stone Summit is a therapeutic residential community serving young adults ages 18–30 who are working toward greater independence, emotional wellness, and life skills development. Direct Support Staff play a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents.
Position Overview
Per Diem / On-Call DSS staff commit to designated days each week when they are available to provide coverage. Staff may be contacted to fill open shifts due to vacations, illnesses, emergencies, increased resident support needs, or staffing vacancies.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to residents in a residential treatment setting.
- Assist residents with daily living skills and community integration.
- Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic interactions.
- Complete required documentation and shift reports.
- Support transportation needs using PATH vehicles.
- Assist with medication support after completing required training.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
- Participate in required training and orientation.
Availability Commitment
Applicants should identify the specific days they are available for on-call coverage. Examples include:
- Every Monday and Tuesday
- Weekends only
- Thursday through Sunday
- Overnight availability only
- Evening shifts only
Hourly Rate is dependent on the shift provided:
- Days Monday to Friday- $17.00/hour
- Evenings Monday to Friday -$18.00/hour
- Weekends - $20.00/hour
- Overnight - Minimum Wage
Selected staff will be scheduled and contacted based on organizational needs and their committed availability.
Within the first 90 days of employment, staff must successfully complete:
- PATH orientation and required trainings
- Medication Room Training
- Resident care and support competencies
- Transportation and vehicle operation requirements
- Documentation and reporting requirements
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
