Recovery House, Inc. a residential substance use treatment program is hiring a cook for our Serentity House treatment center. ServSafe Certification preferred. Candidates must have experience as a cook and experience in planning and preparing meals to meet the nutritional requirements of clients. Also responsible for maintaining logbooks and ensuring menus are posted two weeks in advance. Modifies meals as needed to meet special dietary requirements (food allergies, restricted diet, vegetarian, etc.). Responsible for developing a list of needed food items and for ordering of food/supplies. Follows all ServSafe food handling and sanitation procedures. Properly rotates, labels all food for use/storage. Responsible for maintaining kitchen to all standards for food service permit. The ability to interact with clients while maintaining respectful and professional boundaries is vital. Must be dependable and have all meals prepared at scheduled times. Weekend work required. EOE.
