CDL A Job Description
As a Class A City Driver with PITT OHIO, you are primarily responsible for locally transporting freight. We ask that all our CDL A drivers perform all duties in accordance with company polices and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.
CDL A Responsibilities
- Drives a commercial vehicle safely primarily in our road operations locally
- Primary responsibilities include picking up and delivering general freight
- Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
- Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
CDL A Requirements/Qualifications
- Must have at least two years of CDL A experience OR one year of experience with diploma from a driving school
- Must obtain a Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months.
