Paradigm Capital Management, Inc is currently seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join our team in Albany, New York.

Paradigm is currently seeking an Equity Research Analyst to contribute to the strong investment performance of the firm. The position is located at the company’s Albany headquarters and it is strongly preferred that candidates have existing ties to the region.
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
· Maintaining financial and valuation models for holdings and other companies of interest
· Generating timely, well-researched investment ideas
· Monitor news events and other developments related to portfolio positions
· Run periodic reports which track industry data points and other relevant items
· Communicate effectively with portfolio managers as well as other analysts
Requirements:
The following items are required in order to be considered for the position:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance/related field and relevant previous experience
- Experience in a financial analysis role, preferably at a buy-side investment management firm
- Demonstrated track record of generating and researching potential investment opportunities
- Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to quickly analyze new information and make recommendations in a fast-paced environment
This is an on site role at the company’s Albany, NY office
