Job Summary – Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (Contract)

DR & Infrastructure Migration
Plan and execute migration of US disaster recovery (DR) and backup environments during Dallas data center exit.
Support relocation/re-platforming of DR environments for applications, databases, and market data.
Ensure DR architectures meet recovery objectives and resiliency standards.
DR Testing & Validation
Plan, execute, and document full DR tests for business applications.
Validate restore procedures, recovery sequencing, and operational readiness.
Identify and remediate gaps to ensure recoverability.
Cloud & Hybrid Operations
Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure for backup and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with Cloud Operations SMEs to operationalize cloud-based backup solutions.
Execute runbooks and operational procedures per approved designs.
Coordination & Documentation
Work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors during migration/testing.
Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
Maintain clear, thorough documentation of environments, procedures, and test outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Reliability.
Hands-on with enterprise DR environments and backup systems.
Strong understanding of DR concepts, resiliency, recovery testing, and infrastructure transitions.
Experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructure.
Ability to execute complex, time-sensitive projects within operational/regulatory constraints.
Nice to Have
Experience with data center migrations/colocation exits.
Familiarity with cloud-based backup and recovery platforms.
Exposure to financial services or regulated industries.
Strong documentation habits and operational discipline.
