Summary
Compiles and maintains records concerned with sourcing, ordering, receiving and storing supplies, commodities and/or merchandise for resale. Verifies accuracy of figures and calculations pertaining to purchasing, receiving and sales transactions by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Reviews and verifies data supplied from daily reports and makes appropriate changes daily.
- Modifies procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, and inventory.
- Modifies product pricing and costs as directed by the Director of Hardlines.
- Follows up on all quote requests and other sources material in a timely manner.
- Prepares requisitions, purchase orders or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning merchandise.
- Places orders with vendors via fax, EDI transmission, or other approved communications system.
- Contacts vendors daily for confirmations, shortages, credits, etc.
- Prices special orders based on information on confirmations and updates salesperson via email in a timely manner. Checks for Notice to Proceed.
- Provides data entry and administrative support to the Director of Hardlines as necessary.
- Maintains, as necessary, promotional file for sales flyers.
- Participates in all required training assignments and engages into discussions with providers/instructors to enhance knowledge.
- Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
- Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.

Education/Experience
Required: Minimum of One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
While performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information
Mathematical Skills
High degree of match aptitude including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Be accountable for quality of work and ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists resulting in a reasonable and accurate conclusion that can be well communicated. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position is a sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; however, while performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information; consistently operate a computer and other office equipment. The employee will need to occasionally move about to meet with customers, access files, and use other office equipment. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Regular, full time. Must be able to work assigned hours and follow Attendance Policy.
Proficient with computer data entry and use of company software programs.
