About The Opportunity
MVP Health Care is seeking a Content Marketing Intern to support member engagement and demand marketing initiatives across our government and commercial business lines. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to content creation and content strategy that drives growth, strengthens relationships with members, brokers, and customers, and supports MVP's mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
A key focus of this role will be the development of content aimed at brokers and commercial customers, including experimenting with content strategies that drive engagement, inform lead generation, and support demand marketing objectives. The intern will collaborate closely with marketing, communications, and business stakeholders to research, plan, and develop content across multiple channels.
This role will also support member engagement and content efforts including our MVP's monthly Empower member magazine-a flagship communications channel designed to make a strong visual impact, reinforce the MVP brand, and deliver creative, approachable content that empowers members to engage with MVP and inspires them to be active participants in their journey to well-being.
Qualifications You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, advertising, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Academic or practical experience in content marketing, copywriting, or digital communications.
- Strong research skills and ability to translate complex or health-related information into clear, approachable content.
- Interest in content strategy, demand marketing, and lead generation, particularly for commercial and broker audiences.
- Passion for health care, wellness, and improving the health of the community.
- Familiarity with digital channels such as websites, email, and social media.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and testing of content strategies that drive engagement and demand marketing across government, commercial, and broker audiences.
- Contributes to the creation of content including researching story ideas, writing and editing articles, and supporting editorial planning.
- Assist with content creation and experimentation for broker and commercial audiences to support awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Research, write, and edit marketing content such as campaign copy, web content, emails, and educational materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice, business goals, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct research on target audiences, industry trends, and best practices in healthcare and B2B content marketing.
- Support content calendars, tracking, and basic performance reporting to inform optimization.
- Proofread and review content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Bring forward ideas and insights related to health care, wellness, and content engagement.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.

- Hybrid - Schenectady, NY, in office up to four days a week
Pay Transparency
MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles. Specific employment offers and associated compensation will be extended individually based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location; relevant experience, education, and training; and the nature of and demand for the role.

Pay Rate: $18 - $25 per hour
