The Center for Economic Growth is seeking a highly organized, relationship‑focused program manager to support a new initiative that helps small businesses access opportunities in the expanding semiconductor sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building connections, supporting entrepreneurs, and coordinating programs that strengthen the Capital Region’s economy. You’ll work directly with small businesses to help them navigate resources, build capacity, and connect with new customers and markets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Outreach, Intake & Relationship Management
- Conduct proactive outreach to businesses serving, or able to pivot into the semiconductor supply chain
- Prioritize engagement with small businesses and historically underserved businesses
- Lead intake conversations, assess business needs, and document engagement
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with small businesses and partners
Program & Event Coordination
- Coordinate business support and technical assistance services with specialized providers
- Support structured assessments and develop action plans for participating businesses
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing workshops, webinars, and events
- Represent CEG at area events
Data Collection, Metrics Tracking & Reporting
- Collect and input program metrics
- Prepare data for reporting cycles
- Support asset-mapping activities and gather information on regional business resources
- Contribute to case studies, success stories, and program documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in small business support, economic development, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with small businesses and diverse stakeholders
- Experience working directly with small businesses
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging diverse groups
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/data tools
- Ability to travel regionally
- Experience with program reporting is a plus
- Experience coordinating technical assistance or business support programming preferred
Compensation - Salary range is $72,000 to 85,000. Benefits package includes PTO, generous 401(k), and health/life/LTD insurance.
