Role Overview
The Copywriter is an essential member of our team, leveraging both creative and strategic thinking to develop meaningful copy and concepts for multiple clients and brands. They have a working knowledge of marketing and advertising principles and a growing understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, and apply both to their work. The Copywriter will be able to write across a variety of formats, working with care and empathy to create materials that educate and inform patients and caregivers. They seek to develop a strategic understanding of their brands (product, disease state, audience, market, etc.) and bring creative ideas and solutions to each project.
The person in this role is skilled at taking direction and guidance and is adept at explaining their work to the internal team as well as clients. They will be eager for opportunities to learn and will engage positively with those around them. Responsibilities
Content Development
- Write across formats (digital, print, video, etc.) to create thoughtful, creative communications that reflect the brand strategy and project objectives
- Work with medical and editorial teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of scientific information
- Develop clear, compelling, and credible copy, translating complicated scientific information into accessible and accurate communications
- Develop innovative, creative concepts for brand programs
- Understand pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and be able to work within theseconfines
- Collaborate with designers to deliver work that consistently meets and exceeds expectations
- Regularly present work to internal and client teams as needed
- Prepare submissions for medical/regulatory approval, including compiling references and annotating submission pieces

- Work with the internal team through the content development process to ensure copy meets brand, strategic, and project goals
- Demonstrate an appreciation for collaboration and partnership with teammates
- Communicate openly, keeping team leads apprised of progress and bandwidth

Experience + Qualifications
- 2-5 years of copywriting experience in pharmaceutical marketing
- Writing for healthcare professionals as well as patient/caregiver audiences is preferred
- Adept at managing referencing and annotations for complex program communications
- Must be able to meet client and agency timelines and flourish in a fast-paced environment
- High sense of empathy
- Passion for helping patients and caregivers that drives excellent work above industry standards
- Exceptional written and communication skills
- Mastery in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Samples of work that display an ability to write clear, compelling copy
- Include conceptual and tactical work that shows creative thinking and technical copywriting abilities
Salary Range: $75k-$85k
