Animal Care Assistant needed at a private estate in Millbrook, NY. This job woul dbe 3 to 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts.
Must have horse experience and be able to recognize illness/injury and know what to do.
Responsibilities will include:
- Feed and groom donkeys and retired horses
- Holding for farrier and vet
- Maintaining paddocks- dragging, picking, weed wacking, fence repairs
- Driving tractors and farm machinery
- Keeping barn clean
- Occasional dog care
Candidate should have a positive attitude and be a reliable self-starter.
