Overview
Home improvement & repairs including demo, framing, drywall, concrete and much more. This is a landscaping company. You will be doing landscape work as well as construction. The balance will depend on your skill set and which type of work we have at any given time. We do snow work in the winter. You will be expected to work outside. Winter is usually part-time, while the rest of the year is usually full-time. There is overtime often. You will be expected to work overtime sometimes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support carpentry, framing, and finishing tasks
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to execute specific tasks accurately and efficiently
- Load, unload, and organize materials on-site to ensure smooth workflow and project timelines
- Support safety protocols by maintaining a clean work environment and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on schedule while adhering to safety standards and building codes
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or related manual labor roles; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Attention to detail to ensure quality work while following safety guidelines and project specifications
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices and adherence strictly to safety protocols
- Reliable transportation or access to job sites as needed for consistent attendance
