The Sagamore Resort is seeking a laundry attendant to join our team. This vital position assists with resort operations by maintaining supply of fresh laundry for our guests. The attendant is responsible for sorting, washing, drying and folding of linens and terry for our guest’s rooms, restaurants, pools and spa. The ideal candidate is someone who is hard working and takes pride in what they do. They must be able to follow directions, work independently as well as in small teams. This applicant needs reliable transportation, flexible scheduling to include weekends and holidays and is able to stand for long periods of time.
Hourly Rate: $16.82
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Sort incoming linen and terry
- Transport loads of wet & dry linen and terry in carts to washers and dryers
- Wash, dry and fold linens and terry
- Restock carts and/or closet
- Operate ironer/cross-folder
- Operate towel folder
- Inspect linen & terry for stains/rips and route to be discarded or rewashed
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
