A hotel front desk agent is responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for guests and ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Key responsibilities
- Guest Service:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications, ensuring accuracy in guest information and room assignments.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, dining options, and transportation.
- Process payments, maintain accurate records of transactions, and handle cash and credit cards responsibly.
- Operational Support:
- Answer and direct phone calls, taking and delivering messages for guests and other departments.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front desk area.
- May assist with basic administrative tasks, such as checking and sending emails, sorting mail, and filing.
- May be responsible for tasks like preparing key packets, monitoring reservations, and verifying credit card information.
- Safety and Security:
- Issue and manage guest keys and safe-deposit boxes.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
- Be aware of and follow hotel policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and security.
Skills and qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience (hotel or related field) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong interpersonal and guest relations skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including hotel software systems (Property Management System).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
In addition, some hotels may prefer candidates with specific certifications, like CPR, or proficiency in multiple languages.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
