Overview
We are seeking a licensed, dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral health, and collaborating with the dental team to promote overall wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
- Utilize aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Document patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients.
- Take and review vital signs as part of the initial patient assessment.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform medical coding for insurance purposes related to dental procedures.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
- Experience with medical coding related to dental services is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation review and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and teamwork.

MUST BE LICESED IN CONNECTICUT
- Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology
- Skilled in-patient care, assessment, and communication
- Experienced in general dentistry and aseptic technique
- Familiar with medical coding and documentation review
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft software
- Ability to work in pediatric dentistry and handle vital signs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
