Brief Description
About the Role
We’re building the ultimate collaboration engine for Gen Alpha — where beauty, accessories, lifestyle, and culture collide. As a Collaborations Designer, you’ll bring iconic partnerships and unexpected brand mashups to life across multiple product categories, creating hype-worthy collections that live far beyond the shelf.
From global IP to emerging digital-first brands, you’ll design products that turn collaborations into cultural moments — blending creativity, storytelling, and commercial impact, powered by next-gen design tools including AI.
Key Responsibilities
Design Culture-Defining Collaborations (Across Categories)
- Concept and design collaboration collections spanning beauty, accessories, lifestyle, gifting, and hybrid/experiential products.
- Translate partner IP, brand worlds, and storytelling into innovative, Gen Alpha-relevant product ecosystems.
- Create collections that go beyond single items — think drops, collectibles, bundles, and cross-category experiences.
Own the Collaboration Creative Vision
- Interpret and elevate brand guidelines into fresh, unexpected multi-category product executions.
- Balance partner identity with Claire’s brand DNA to create cohesive, standout collections.
- Build strong visual narratives across product, packaging, retail, and digital touchpoints.
AI-Driven Design & Pitch Excellence
- Leverage AI tools (image generation, concepting, iteration, and visualization) to accelerate creativity and expand design possibilities.
- Create high-impact, pitch-ready decks that clearly communicate collaboration concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Translate early ideas into polished, compelling visuals that can be used for partner sell-in and approvals.
- Continuously explore new tools and workflows to enhance speed, quality, and innovation in the design process.
Drive Innovation & Newness
- Identify whitespace across categories — from beauty-adjacent to lifestyle and beyond.
- Push boundaries on formats, materials, and experiences (including phygital and customizable products).
- Ensure every collaboration is designed to be shared, collected, and talked about.
Spot What’s Next
- Identify emerging brands, IP, creators, and cultural moments relevant to Gen Alpha.
- Stay ahead of trends across social, gaming, entertainment, fashion, and tech.
- Proactively pitch new collaboration opportunities that unlock growth and excitement.
Who You Are
- A culturally fluent designer who understands Gen Alpha behavior, hype culture, and brand ecosystems.
- Fluent in AI-powered design tools and excited to integrate them into your creative process.
- Experienced in multi-category design — comfortable moving between beauty, accessories, and lifestyle.
- A strong storyteller with the ability to create visually compelling, presentation-ready work.
- Agile and collaborative — you thrive in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in product design, ideally with collaborations or licensed experience across multiple categories.
- Proven ability to create high-quality decks for partner pitches and internal sell-in.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills + experience with AI design tools (e.g., generative imagery, rapid concepting platforms).
- Understanding of brand guidelines, approval processes, and retail execution.
The Energy
- Fast. Collaborative. Boundary-pushing. Always-on.
