Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packaging and Manufacturing Associate to join our team at our state-licensed cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility in New York State. Previous manufacturing or packaging experience a must (does not need to be in Cannabis).
This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation, packaging, labeling, and tracking of cannabis products in compliance with NYS Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) regulations and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Package cannabis flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, and other manufactured products according to SOPs and quality standards
- May operate light manufacturing equipment (e.g., grinders, filling machines, sealers, labeling machines) safely and efficiently
- Weigh, measure, and label products accurately following OCM regulatory guidelines
- Perform quality control checks on products and packaging to ensure consistency and compliance
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with NYS cannabis regulations
- Follow all company health, safety, and sanitation policies
- Assist in other areas of production, such as trimming, labeling, and order fulfillment, as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a regulated environment preferred but not required (cannabis industry experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive-task environment
- Willingness to submit to background checks and fingerprinting per NYS cannabis regulations
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Full-time positions available; flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Cultivation environment with exposure to cannabis plant materials
Compensation & Benefits:
- $16.00-$17/hr. depending on experience
