Duties
- Operate and monitor various production equipment involved in ice cream manufacturing, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Assist with the preparation, mixing, and processing of ingredients according to strict food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines
- Package finished products accurately, ensuring proper labeling and quality control checks
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
- Support sanitation efforts by cleaning equipment, workstations, and storage areas to uphold food safety standards
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products within the facility
Requirements
- Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of HACCP, CGMP, and food safety regulations is a plus; willingness to learn these standards is essential
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of machinery operation and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe working environment
