Job Description:
This position requires a clinical background and experience in Phlebotomy. Being able to instruct Medical Assisting students in the particulars of a Phlebotomy class. Must be knowledgeable with the tube colors, the chemistry in them and their need in the practice of Medicine. The instructor will be able to lecture on the special draws, HIPPA, Infection Control and meet the guidelines in preparation for the National Healthcare Association certification exam. Course content must be within the Standard of Care for Medical Assistants in New York State.
Requirements/Required & Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University.
- Clinical experience drawing blood while practicing as a phlebotomist
- Critical thinking ideologies a must
- Experience in Higher Education
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
