Duties Description
Provide recommendations to prioritize business process improvements, ensuring system functionality and efficiency across the organization.
Conduct research and gather information on business architecture tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with the NYS Office of Information Technology Services to align systems with business capabilities and requirements.
Document existing business processes and partner with business unit staff to design future-state processes.
Support business and data analysts in creating and maintaining a comprehensive catalog of the DMV’s core business functions.
Assist in developing and updating business architecture documentation, including business capability models, value stream maps, and customer journey maps.
Evaluate and validate the impact of new legislation, rules, and regulations to ensure alignment with organizational operations and objectives.
Create test scripts and scenarios, execute testing, and evaluate results to support process and system enhancements.
Support a collaborative environment that fosters creative solutions and continuous improvement.
Demonstrate strong, professional, respectful communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Perform full range of supervisory activities for subordinate staff.
Other tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must meet one of the following conditions:
Four years of professional experience in business strategy and process improvement in the areas of system operations and workflow optimization
OR
An Associate’s Degree and three years of the required experience as described above
OR
A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of the required experience as described above
OR
A Master’s Degree and one year of the required experience as described above
Additional Comments
Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
