This is senior-level professional work in managing high-impact community development and housing initiatives. The ideal candidate will plan, implement, and oversee grant-funded projects, conduct community needs assessments, engage with diverse stakeholder groups, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic neighborhood improvements.
What Would you Do?
- Lead the administration of major community development programs such as neighborhood revitalization, outreach centers, or affordable housing projects.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for community development and housing initiatives.
- Conduct outreach and collaboration with citizen groups, professional organizations, and public agencies.
- Review proposals and coordinate service delivery between governmental and non-governmental partners.
- Manage real property acquisitions and provide technical support to developers and subgrantees.
- Research and analyze development challenges, grants, and policy trends.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and community engagement materials.
What Do You Have To Have?
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, urban planning, public administration, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of advanced experience in affordable housing, real estate, grant administration, or community development.
- A Master’s degree may substitute for some experience (1 year required).
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one).
- Availability for emergency response and disaster recovery operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of community development principles, government regulations, and real estate processes.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in technical writing and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Experience with cross-sector collaboration and grant compliance.
