The Post Anesthesia Care clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, tests, and documents care in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs and responses, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
- Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
- Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
- Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
