About:
To enhance the Executive Chamber’s engagement initiatives including hiring and onboarding programs, we are hiring an intern to assist with various Human Resources tasks. This position will support our department in managing transactional information, supporting engagement programs, and fostering collaboration across teams.
Duties:
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement programs
- Assist in creating marketing materials for these programs
- Help analyze the effectiveness of engagement initiatives
- Assist with initial resume screening and applicant tracking
- Gain an understanding of position qualifications and hiring criteria
- Partner with the Senior HR Specialist to review and prepare job postings for launch
- Draft and send follow-up communications to candidates not moving forward in the process
- Assist in organizing cross-functional team meetings and events
- Help gather feedback from various teams on HR initiatives
- Provide administrative assistance to the HR team as needed
- Help with data entry, filing, and document management
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be a current student attending an accredited college, university, or community college in New York State or be a New York State Resident
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Platforms
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Creative problem solver including ability to be a critical thinker
