This position will be responsible for providing leadership in developing, enhancing, and implementing initiatives focused on continually improving business performance in the Pulp Mill; responsibilities will also include the identifying of opportunities and the leading of efforts to enhance operational efficiencies; will identify engineering and project opportunities; mitigate risks and improve growth through process improvements; coach and mentor hourly work teams and salaried team leaders. Essential functions include, but are not limited to developing and maintaining a three to five year strategic plan for the Pulp Mill; re-engineering equipment and processes, where necessary, to improve efficiency and consistency and driving cost effective strategic projects. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Paper Science is preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Five plus (5+) years of experience in a Pulp Mill role is required; supervisory and leadership experience highly preferred; knowledge of safety and environmental protocols for Pulp Mill facilities is required; demonstrated results in the areas of strategic planning, change leadership and project management required; proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power Point and Word. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are base on various factors including skills set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
