Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist:
- Coordinate and monitor an array of quality assurance activities intended to ensure and enhance the delivery of quality programming to all clients served by Mohawk Opportunities. At a minimum, these activities will include monthly admission utilization review; quarterly ongoing utilization review; an annual review of each program's operations to assess adherence to policies and procedures; annual client and staff satisfaction surveys; collection of statistical data related to referrals, program utilization and client demographics; and tracking data related to program specific outcome indicators
- Assist with other auditing and monitoring activities as requested, including those related to compliance risk areas
- Assist with and ensure proper auditing follow-up is completed
- Support incident management to ensure compliance with regulations
- Aid with any investigations of compliance related, potential unethical and/or improper behaviors/business practices.
- Assist with the development of agency policies and procedures, emergency plans, etc. Support completion of annual policy and procedure review as needed
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications for the Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist include:
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Specific experience in Quality Assurance and Compliance will be considered in lieu of education
- An ideal candidate will have experience in Quality Assurance and Compliance in a Medicaid funded program. Candidates with experience in Medicaid service delivery and documentation in the human service field with strong written and oral skills will be considered
- Experience with electronic health records or other databased systems, preferred.
- Valid and insurable NYS driver's license and must have their own transportation for business purposes.
Benefits
Salary and Schedule of Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist the:
- $32.21/hour, 20 hours per week, $33,498.40/annual equivalent.
