Position Overview:
We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Site Operations Coordinator to support a rapidly growing manufacturing services team within a highly regulated industrial environment. This individual will serve as the primary on-site representative for the project team, ensuring workforce productivity, effective communication with stakeholders, successful onboarding of new employees, and overall operational excellence.
This position acts as a bridge between project leadership, manufacturing personnel, and customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with a background in manufacturing operations and excels at building relationships, coordinating activities, and driving accountability across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for on-site project personnel and customer stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with customer leadership and proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery and project value.
- Track workforce productivity, proficiency, attendance, and overall team performance metrics.
- Support onboarding activities for new employees and technicians entering the facility.
- Coordinate facility access, badging, PPE distribution, safety compliance, and workforce readiness activities.
- Ensure project personnel follow site safety requirements, including proper PPE usage and facility policies.
- Partner closely with operations leadership to identify obstacles impacting team performance and escalate issues when necessary.
- Provide project status updates, schedule tracking, deliverable management, and customer-facing communications.
- Monitor purchase order consumption, project budgets, and contract progress while communicating upcoming needs to stakeholders.
- Maintain administrative oversight of project-related activities, including timekeeping, workforce communication, holiday schedules, and site coordination.
- Act as a second set of eyes for project leadership as the team scales and expands.
- Help organize the workforce and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, manufacturing leadership, or similar roles.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, production, or facility environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and operational responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience tracking performance metrics, schedules, deliverables, or workforce KPIs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Manager, Program Manager, Manufacturing Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, or Site Supervisor experience.
- Experience supporting contract-based service delivery or professional services engagements.
- Exposure to utilities, R&D, energy, industrial manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with workforce onboarding, safety programs, PPE management, and contractor administration.
- Experience managing customer relationships and presenting project updates to leadership teams.
Compensation:
$40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
