About The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our administrative team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the Payroll Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and timely distribution of employee compensation. This role balances administrative precision with regulatory expertise, managing the full payroll cycle while maintaining compliance with tax laws and company policies.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end processing for biweekly pay cycles, including the calculation of wages, overtime, and specialized wage plans and policies.
- Ensure all payroll activities comply with FLSA, ERISA, and other relevant labor laws.
- Handle filing of payroll taxes and distribution of year-end forms.
- Calculate and process voluntary deductions (benefits, 403b) and involuntary deductions (child support, garnishments).
- Complete post-payroll activities, including coordination with finance for account funding, direct deposit filing, printing and mailing checks, and payment of taxes, child support, and garnishments.
- Generate regular payroll reports for finance team to assist with budgeting and labor cost analysis.
- Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, tax questions, or banking updates.
- Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Labor Statistic filings.
- Stay up to date with compliance changes (FLSA, NACHA, Tax Regulation, etc.).
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence
- Perform administrative responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
- Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community
What You Bring
- Associates degree with at least two years’ payroll-related experience strongly preferred or high school diploma or GED with three years’ experience will be considered.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
