Role Description We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join us as a Field Representative in the Capital and Northeast regions. You will play a crucial role in carrying out public relations, educational programs and supporting members within your assigned geographical area. You will provide assistance and service to prospective and existing clients, attend trade shows to promote the organization’s products and services, and conduct training sessions to educate and certify excavators on NYS Code Rule 753 and safe digging best practices. UDig NY, Inc. is located in East Syracuse however, the Field Representative will work out of their home office. They will travel throughout the Capital and Northeast regions with the occasional to travel to East Syracuse.
Qualifications
- Two to five years of experience in public outreach, education, stakeholder engagement, utility operations, construction, excavation safety, training, or related industries; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Residence in the Capital region
- Dedicated space for a home office
- Valid driver’s license with a reliable source of transportation that is capable of transporting self and materials required at trade shows, training sessions and presentations
- Must be able to travel throughout the state and occasional national conferences
- Be able to work flexible hours that includes occasional nights, weekends and overnight stays

Salary Range: $63,000 to $73,000 per year
