Title: Corporate Supply Chain Commodity Manager-Aerospace
Location: Albany, NY (Coxsackie area)
Aerospace and Defense industry experience required
The Company is a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. They specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.
- Drive year-over-year commodity savings, supplier negotiations, and long-term agreements to reduce material costs, strengthen partnerships, and support business growth and supply continuity.
- Lead supplier performance improvement, RCCA, consolidation, and transition strategies to improve delivery, quality, cost alignment, mitigate risk, and support operational scalability.
- Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business goals, technology roadmaps, and cross-functional objectives while managing key supplier relationships and executive-level performance reviews.
- Monitor commodity market trends to identify risks and opportunities, proactively supporting supply chain decisions and operational requirements.
- Promote organizational values, drive change initiatives, and ensure compliance with CUI, ITAR/EAR/CMMC, security, environmental, and operational policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in world-class manufacturing, operations, and supply chain principles, including commodity management, materials and material flow management, inventory management, and strategic goal deployment.
- Demonstrated leadership in supply chain, supply base, and/or operations within the aerospace and defense industry required
- Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions, from customer order through product shipment.
- Solid financial and P&L acumen related to operational costs, external supply costs, and working capital.
- Understands and effectively applies lean methodologies and concepts to supply chain processes.
- Strong communication skills across all levels, with the ability to address and act with urgency to resolve escalated issues.
- Proven leader and team player with a successful track record in change management.
- Strong negotiation and business analysis skills.
- Ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and perform root cause analysis.
- ISM or APICS certification desirable
Expected Salary: 110K-145K + bonus, excellent benefits
