Join Tech Valley Talent’s esteemed client in a pivotal role as Deputy Chief of Staff, supporting the Office of the President within New York State’s dynamic energy sector. This high-level position offers a unique opportunity to influence critical initiatives, coordinate executive operations, and engage with key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This is a 7-10 month contract opportunity that is remote. Targeted start is early July. Client is based in NYS so EST or CST located individuals are preferred.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Proven experience supporting executive teams or senior leadership
- Strong writing and drafting abilities, with a focus on clear, professional communication
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive requests independently
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with workflow management tools such as Asana
- Discretion in handling sensitive information
- Ability to coordinate schedules and external outreach effectively
- Demonstrated project management and analytical skills
- Capable of navigating complex policies and procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification in Project Management (CAPM or PMP)
- Knowledge of NYS energy systems or the clean energy industry
- Experience working with government agencies or high-profile stakeholders
- Ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, energy policy, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years supporting senior leadership or executive teams
- Prior involvement in clean energy or public sector initiatives is highly desirable

- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Quick learner with the capacity to adapt to evolving priorities
- Ability to communicate confidently with internal teams and external entities
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism at all times
