Job Title: Logistics & Inventory Coordinator
Location: Saratoga County
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to support daily operations across shipping, inventory control, and purchasing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and efficient coordination between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Shipping
- Schedule shipments and coordinate transportation with carriers and vendors
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Resolve shipping and delivery issues as they arise
- Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular audits
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets
- Coordinate receiving, storage, and order fulfillment activities
- Track and reconcile inventory across multiple locations
- Implement and maintain location/bin tracking systems
- Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Analyze inventory trends to optimize stock levels and storage efficiency
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
- Prepare and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve order issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages
- Ensure accuracy of orders, receipts, and invoicing
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate shipping, purchasing, and inventory records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or inventory management
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work in a hands-on warehouse/production environment
