Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, preferences, and experience levels
- Provide detailed product demos and educate customers on different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked neatly and attractively
- Conduct regular stock checks, manage inventory levels, and assist with stocking shelves to keep the sales floor well-supplied
- Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when addressing inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles, preferably within grocery stores or similar retail environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Supervising experience is advantageous for guiding new team members or managing daily operations
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, and responsible consumption practices is preferred but not required
