Schenectady Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Administrator to support daily operations and management of our skilled nursing facility. This role provides hands-on leadership experience and mentorship for individuals pursuing a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license and a long-term career in healthcare administration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the licensed Administrator with overall facility operations
- Support department heads and staff to ensure quality resident care
- Help oversee staffing, scheduling, and employee engagement
- Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in resident and family relations
- Assist with audits, reports, and performance improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations preferred
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
