Lawn Care Apprentice
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Lawn Care Apprentice to assist with applying fertilizers and pesticides to residential and commercial lawns. This is a hands on, outdoor position designed for individuals looking to learn a skilled trade in the lawn care industry. No prior experience is required and training is provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides under the supervision of licensed applicators
- Learn proper mixing, application techniques, and safety procedures for lawn care products
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment under supervision
- Assist with identifying lawn conditions, weeds, insects, and turf issues
- Follow all safety guidelines and pesticide regulations
- Accurately log job details using a tablet or mobile device
- Communicate clearly and politely with customers when needed
- Work effectively in a team setting and support crew members
- Keep equipment, tools, and work vehicles clean and organized
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and safely operate company vehicles as assigned
- Regularly lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing up to 80 pounds.
We are very willing to build a team around highly competent people in this position and work with them for advancement. We are looking for motivated people who have a goal of going from apprentice to Operations Specialists. Opportunities to eventually run an individual location or just make 12 months pay in 8 months a year.
