Position Overview:
As our Recruiter, you’ll be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring great people for a variety of positions within our two stores. This role is hands-on and collaborative, you’ll work closely with store managers and leadership to understand staffing needs, identify strong candidates, and create a welcoming hiring experience from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of seasonal hiring in a fast-paced retail environment and a passion for connecting great people with great opportunities.
Part - time 30 hours a week
Flexible schedule Monday-Friday
Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including job postings, resume review, phone screens, interviews, and onboarding.
- Work with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Partner with store managers and HR leadership to understand staffing needs across our two store locations
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build a diverse candidate pipeline for hourly, supervisory, and specialized retail roles
- Coordinate and attend local job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach programs
- Implement and maintain ATS workflows to ensure compliance and consistency in hiring practices
- Maintain clear and timely communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process
- Track and analyze hiring metrics to report on performance and identify areas for improvement
- Support onboarding and orientation efforts to ensure a smooth handoff from recruitment to operations
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a retail, grocery, or seasonal hiring environment
- Experience managing requisitions across multiple locations
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a customer-service mindset
- Familiarity with hiring platforms (Indeed)
- Knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and best practices in hiring
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools
- Passion for connecting with people and representing a family-oriented company culture
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to travel locally to store locations and hiring events as needed
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs on occasion
- Comfortable working in a retail environment, which may involve exposure to different temperatures and stimuli
