2. Summary / Purpose of the Job
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operator will be responsible for assisting with plant operations, performing daily quality-control testing, and operating equipment used to modify liquid asphalt in the polymer plant.
3. Main Responsibilities
- Transferring hot liquid asphalt products for receiving, blending, modification, and shipping purposes.
- Performing daily quality-control testing of modified asphalt products.
- Operating and monitoring equipment in the polymer modification plant.
- Performing routine maintenance as required.
- Keeping the work environment clean and organized.
- Maintaining accurate written documentation related to plant operations and product transfers.
- Following all safety rules and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
- Performing any other related tasks required by the position or assigned by the supervisor.
4. Technical Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Excellent command of spoken English.
- Basic computer knowledge.

- Strong analytical thinking.
6. Conditions
- Job includes significant outdoor work and climbing tank ladders up to heights of 60 feet.
- Potential exposure to a hazardous environment.
- Overtime hours when required.
- Entering tanks and confined spaces as needed.
7. Schedule
- Standard day shift; candidates must be available to start early when operational needs require.
