Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Repairs and Maintenance to lead and oversee all facilities repairs and maintenance and manage construction activities across over multiple locations across the United States. This person must have prior experience in overseeing repairs and maintenance at industrial and/or commercial properties. Must be a dependable team player and willing to travel.

Responsibilities
- Experienced project manager that is highly organized, clear communicator, and effective at prioritizing tasks based on company objectives.
- Responsible for overseeing repairs and maintenance at all locations for facilities, buildings, and grounds, including management of all work completed by vendors and company repairs and maintenance staff at each location.
- Responsible for projects from cradle to grave: preparing project timelines and budgets, drafting RFPs with scope of work to bid out to vendors, inspecting final work product, and confirming completed work conforms with contracted scope of work. Acts as primary point of contact with vendors throughout all project phases.
- Responsible for ensuring that vendors meet requirements set forth by company policy, including safety procedures, insurance coverage, warranty coverage, and logging site visits.
- Lead regular meetings with company staff at each property location on repairs and maintenance matters.
- Plan and budget for capital improvements and repairs and maintenance for three years in advance based on past repairs and maintenance history, and anticipated end of life for critical systems (e.g., roof, HVAC).
- Conduct site inspections periodically at all properties for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain and update list of preferred vendors for each property location.
- Maintain and keep records of all service contracts at each property location (e.g., roof, elevators, and HVAC systems).
- Oversee all sitework and construction activities at the properties, as applicable; manage architects, general contractors, and other vendors. Ensure CO obtained in timely manner.
- Team player that works well with other members of the senior management team.
Skills
- Proven management experience overseeing large-scale repairs and maintenance operations within commercial and/or industrial settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in electrical systems.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Deep understanding of facilities management principles covering HVAC systems, commercial and/or industrial maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while maintaining high standards for safety and quality assurance.
- 10+ years of experience with repairs and maintenance of industrial and/or commercial properties.
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Able and willing to travel up to 25% of time.
Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
