Position Description: Tester Expert acting as a QA tester will lead testing efforts for Workers’ Compensation Board applications and projects including P4 ECAE/CIS Modernization, P2 eForms, and P5 ECR/ORPS Modernization. The candidate will uncover and investigate defects, identify root causes, generate reports, and collaborate with WCB ITS Business Solutions and other stakeholders. The role involves assessing overall application quality through manual, automated, and performance testing using various QA tools.
Day-to-Day Tasks
- Create and maintain test plans, test strategy documents, test scripts, test scenarios, test cases, and test matrices for WCB applications
- Perform test and defect management using tools such as HP ALM and/or JIRA
- Assist and provide QA activities through all phases of the system development life cycle and ensure testing milestones and dates are met
- Perform test execution, analyze test results, and provide reporting
- Estimate test effort for projects and provide testing estimates
- Create and execute automated test cases and suites for functional and regression testing using tools such as UFT, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Perform backend testing, data validation, data analysis, data migration, and SQL query execution
- Perform integration testing and run automation suites using CI/CD tools
- Perform web services and API testing using SOAP UI, Postman, REST Assured, and Java
- Perform performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad, including creation of performance test plans, scripts, and test data, and analysis of bottlenecks, baselines, and scalability
- Develop automation scripts for native mobile applications using Appium
- Perform accessibility testing to ensure ADA Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 compliance
- Maintain and update automation scripts using Java, VB, and JavaScript
Requested Qualifications
- 84 Months of experience in creating and executing automated test scripts and suites for functional and regression testing using automated tools such as Selenium and Cypress for multiple applications using automated frameworks.
- 84 Months of experience performing load testing using JMeter or LoadRunner or Neo load performance tools. Experienced in creating and maintaining Performance Test plans, Test scripts, Test data for performance testing, review bottle necks, baseline, and scalability.
- 72 Months of Experience in ETL Testing, Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading, Data Validation, Data Quality Assurance, Performance Testing, SQL Querying, and ETL Automation.
- 36 Months of experience performing Web services testing using SOAP UI /Postman API testing tools & REST assured.
- 36 Months of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts & Manage defects using tools such as HP ALM or JIRA.
- 24 Months experience as a QA team lead with expertise in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
