Director of Social Work Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Social Work Department, overseeing the development and implementation of social service programs and policies
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address resident needs, providing individualized care and support
- Recruit, train, and supervise Social Work staff, ensuring excellent patient care and service delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including families, healthcare providers, and community organizations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulations, providing expert guidance and support to staff
Director of Social Work Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
- Prior experience in social work, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in staff supervision and development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
