Skills/Qualifications:
New York Pain Management seeks an independent Nurse Practitioner
- Interested in interventional pain management and regenerative medicine.
- Neuro or Ortho experience a plus, but we WILL TRAIN!
- Certified Nurse Practitioner License
- Thoroughness, strong clinical and communications skills
- Capable of working as part of a medical team using scientific deduction to help our patient.
Duties:
- Contributes to patient care, by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; collaborating with the physician and implementing directives.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services in electronic medical record
- Performs simple procedures per physician
- Instructs and counsels patients, providing direction for emotional problems of daily living; promoting wellness and health maintenance as it relates to pain.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
