The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) in the Children's Hospital provides leadership by offering expert consultation and supporting staff in developing patient care skills, with direct patient care responsibilities.
- Demonstrate advanced specialty nursing knowledge and manage complex patient/system issues.
- Assist staff in developing clinical skills and problem-solving in complex situations.
- Teach and support staff in intravascular therapy management.
- Provide direct care in selected complex cases.
- Communicate effectively to reach consensus with the care team for patient best interest.
Education/Experience includes a current NYS Nursing license (BSN preferred), Pediatric/Critical Care certification (preferred), and at least 3 years of recent pediatric acute care experience.
