Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical functions of OrthoNY’s multi-site orthopedic practice, ensuring high standards of patient care, efficient workflows, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong strategic planning and operational expertise to optimize clinical performance and enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical and operational functions across all OrthoNY sites, ensuring quality, efficiency and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations to implement strategic plans and ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory and organizational compliance
- Manage clinical budgets, resource allocation, and cost-effective strategies.
- Optimize the use of technology and electronic health records (EHR) for streamlined operations.
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to align clinical goals with business objectives and foster alignment.
- Direct and coordinate daily operational activities across clinical and administrative teams
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational policies
- Assist with staffing, recruitment, and retention efforts to maintain a high-performing workforce
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direct oversight to site leaders and clinical/operational teams to ensure consistent performance and alignment with organizational goals
- Develop and monitor KPIs for performance & quality management
- Monitor clinical productivity, financial performance, and operational efficiency through data analysis and reporting
- Manage malpractice function within the practice
- Coordinate with Ambulatory Surgery Center Directors
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, health administration or related field required
- Minimum 10 years in healthcare clinical operations, preferably in Orthopedics or specialty practice
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions at all levels of the organization
- Experience with EHR systems, data reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Proficient in MS Office required

- Ability to travel between OrthoNY locations. Reliable transportation is essential.
