Position Summary:
The Office of Assemblymember Brian Cunningham (District 43 - Brooklyn) is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Executive Assistant & Scheduler based in Albany, NY. This individual will play a vital role in managing the Assemblymember’s daily calendar, travel arrangements, and operational logistics in the Capitol, while serving as a key liaison between legislative staff, constituents, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be committed to public service, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain discretion with sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the Assemblymember’s Albany schedule, including meetings, committee hearings, floor sessions, and travel coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling requests and ensure timely follow-up with internal staff and external stakeholders
• Draft and update the Assemblymember’s daily briefing documents and itineraries
• Coordinate logistics for meetings and events in Albany, including room bookings, preparation of materials, and attendance tracking
• Collaborate with the Brooklyn district office to ensure schedule alignment and workflow continuity between Albany and the district
• Monitor time-sensitive commitments and provide real-time schedule adjustments as needed
• Greet and manage visitors to the Albany office with professionalism and care
• Support the Assemblymember in managing correspondence, tracking deadlines, and handling confidential materials
• Maintain up-to-date contact databases and scheduling protocols
• Assist with special projects and additional administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
• Prior experience in administrative support, scheduling, or government operations strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and scheduling/calendar platforms
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
• Flexibility to work extended hours during the legislative session, as needed
