Job Overview

The Recovery Center Support Manager is responsible for the daily operations, safety, and structure of the recovery center. This role supports a welcoming, safe, and recovery-focused environment for individuals seeking peer support, family support, recovery meetings, education, and community connection. The Support Manager is responsible for enforcing center rules, coordinating services, and providing peer support. The position is peer-driven and does not provide clinical treatment or counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

Recovery Support Services

Provide peer-based recovery support and encouragement to individuals at various stages of recovery
Welcome and orient participants to the recovery center and available services
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive recovery environment
Support individuals in accessing community resources, meetings, and support networks
Model recovery-oriented behavior and appropriate boundaries

Meeting & Program Coordination

Schedule and coordinate recovery meetings, groups, and educational workshops
Open, close, and monitor meetings to ensure center guidelines are followed
Coordinate volunteer facilitators, peer leaders, and guest speakers
Ensure meeting spaces are prepared and maintained

Center Operations

Open and close the recovery center according to schedule
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the facility
Monitor center activity and address behavioral concerns or disruptions
Track attendance, participation, and basic program data
Ensure supplies, refreshments, and materials are stocked
Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Administrative Duties

Maintain daily sign-in logs and incident reports
Collect required documentation and participant feedback
Assist with reporting requirements for grants or funding sources
Communicate regularly with leadership regarding center operations and needs

Safety & Compliance

Enforce center policies, codes of conduct, and recovery community guidelines
Respond appropriately to crises, relapses, or behavioral incidents
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
Follow all applicable local, state, and organizational guidelines

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Experience in peer recovery support, community services, or behavioral health preferred
Lived experience in recovery strongly preferred
Knowledge of recovery pathways (12-step, non-12-step, faith-based, MAT-friendly, etc.)
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Requirements

Ability to maintain professional boundaries in a peer support role
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to work evenings or weekends based on meeting schedules

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
